Whilst running my previous ‘Bitz’ film campaigns I had lots of requests from supporters asking to buy my dog puppets/models, so In 2018 I refined the 'junk-dog-puppet' idea into something I could replicate and sell- This was no longer a one off puppet experiment, I’d invented a breed of dog- Whibbits! I used the sale of the models and other merchandise (such as books, bags, T-shirts and posters) to fund the next stages of the project, and even raffled off the puppets I used in my animations. There have been over 70 Whibbits made and sold in lots of limited edition designs.
